The current state of development of the Internet communication, our cyclicality and every day active integration of the region with different legal systems and new international legal organizations that are closely linked to the low level of the legal profession, which are associated with a large number of units of translation of legal concepts and translations assigned to lawyers.

Investigative interest in the field of legal translation is determined by the development of international relations, increasing the volume of legal regulation. The volume of legal documents written in English is increasing, and more and more cases require the ability to edit these documents or legal documents. Of course, when it comes to the quality of translation, we will think about the adequacy of the translation of the terminology, as well as the study of their language and culture.

The problem of legal translation has been recently addressed by such scholars as V. V. Alimov [1], S. M. Andrianov[2], V. S. E. Slepovich. V.[3] Schepotina[4] and others. However, the problem of adequate translation of legal terms and their linguo-cultural features requires further study, as this subject matter is still insufficiently studied in the modern transliterating society.

In view of the above, the aim of this work is to analyze the position of the current language and cognitive theory on the definition of linguistic and cultural specificities of English terms in the legal sphere, which allow to translate these terms more efficiently, as well as outline the main difficulties that may arise and are currently arising during the translation of legal terms into English and Ukrainian.

Today, the specifics of translation of legal terms is becoming increasingly widespread, which can be explained by the development of new means of communication, and also the expansion of intermodal communication in the sphere of law and typically a large number of possible, available variants of remote communication with other languages.

The translation of legal terms requires a significant base of translator's knowledge and expertise in various spheres of activity and fields of science, taking into account linguistic and cultural peculiarities of translation and specificity of images of cultures, between which communication exists. Especially when it comes to the translation of English terms into Ukrainian and vice versa, as Ukraine and the United Kingdom and the United States belong to different legal systems.

Therefore, taking into account linguistic and cultural peculiarities of translation, legal documents - contracts, agreements, treaties, understandings - considerably differ in their structure and differ in used vocabulary, current notions, etc. Thus, in the USA legal issues are the main part of the mass culture of the country.

Obviously, high-quality translation, especially the specifics of simultaneous translation, as one of its best varieties, requires the fulfillment of two basic conditions: the adequacy of the translation and the equivalence of terms. Adequacy requires that the translation "retains the function of the original and the translation", while equivalence means the maximum possible linguistic convergence of the terms of the original and the translation.

Moreover, the translator's task is complicated by the fact that he must not only transmit information in the process of interaction between the speakers of different languages, but also understand the sense of expression in its entirety, taking into account linguocultural peculiarities of the creation of a particular term in another language.

The equivalent is now considered by scholars to be a lexical correspondence, which is fully identical with the meaning of the term of another language. It should be noted that it is not always possible to achieve perfect equivalence (totality) in translation, because lexical units in different languages in the course of their historical development form different semantic nests with different meanings.

According to the French linguist and translator J. Moonen, the reasons for this lie in the "incompatibility of the "pictures of the world" created by the languages; and, finally, in the differences of reality itself, the culture and civilization of the different languages. For example, in English law "land law" is distinguished as a separate branch, which can be translated as "land law," but according to the interpretation of the British dictionary is not quite correct. The word land in English legal terminology means not only a plot of land, but also the buildings that are located on it, that is, the non-housing in general, and, without a doubt, can create some discrepancies in the understanding of documents regarding this issue in an individual case or in the complex of documents of a particular court case.

Also the linguistic and cultural peculiarities of the translation of English terms in the legal sphere allows us to conclude that the translation of the legal text causes a lot of difficulties, related to the diversity of the legal language, its linguistic and cultural peculiarities and the difference in the legal systems that denote the legal realities of different countries.

Translation of legal terms requires a significant basis of translation and recognition in different spheres of activity and scientific fields, taking into account the specificity of cultural images of the countries between which there is communication.

So, having analyzed the position of the current linguistic science concerning the linguistic and cultural peculiarities of translation of English terms in the legal sphere into Ukrainian, we can make a conclusion, That an inadequate translation in another language can create some conceptual disadvantages in the use of the mentioned lexical units not only in legal documents, The following research on this topic is relevant and productive and indispensable for a more detailed study.
